How it works
45 minutes. Two halves.
Just like a well-written screenplay,
my free consults have a specific structure:
The first twenty minutes
I’ll ask you a handful of simple questions. Don’t worry, there’s no need to prepare.
The questions will focus on:
- How you found me
- What you’ve been thinking about my social media posts
- Where you’re at with your writing
- What you’re struggling with
The second twenty minutes are all yours
We can do anything you want with your time.
If you’re coming in with a specific problem we can talk about that, whether it’s:
- A specific component of your current script
- Not knowing where to go next with your career
- Help showing up for your writing regularly
We cover a lot in the first half, so if you don’t really know where to start I’ll be able to take the wheel.
Alsothere’s no need to tense up. There will be absolutely no sales talk unless you directly ask about my services.

Is this really free?
Yes. The whole point of running these is so I can keep learning what writers actually need. You giving me 20 minutes of honest answers is the trade.
Do I need to prep anything?
No. Show up. Be honest. We’ll get there.
What if my script isn’t ready?
You don’t need a script for this call. We’re talking about your writing situation, not reading your pages. If you’d like a professional read on a completed draft, that’s what my Deep Dive Coverage is for.
What if I’m worried about being sold to?
You won’t be. I’ll only talk about my services if you ask. That’s the deal.
What if I’m not in LA?
Doesn’t matter. Calls are on Zoom. Most of my clients are outside LA.
